Easy Hi-Q Converter
MPEG ID3 Tagging
Copying tags
Easy Hi-Q Converter can automatically copy MPEG ID3 version 1 and 2 tags from any input file that contains them, to any output file type that can accept them. This takes place while converting.
To copy ID3 tags, click Options,
then put a check-mark
in the Copy ID3 Tags to new files
check-box. When using this option you must also select at least one type of tag to copy. You can select ID3v1 or ID3v2 or both. If you uncheck
the Copy ID3 Tags to
new files check-box, no tags will be copied.
Editing tags
To edit MPEG
ID3 tags, click the ID3 Tags menu item which opens the MPEG ID3v1, ID3v2 Tag
Editor.
In the editor, navigate
to your desired location on the left side of the Explorer. The right side of the Explorer will display audio files for editing. Only file types that can contain ID3
tags will be shown.
All other types are not shown.
To read or edit ID3 tags in a file, simply
click on the
filename on
the right side and the filename will be shown on the label below. If the file already contains a tag, the information
will be shown in the text boxes.
ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags can both be contained
in a file. But, only one
type at a time is shown.
To view or edit each type, click the option buttons near the bottom for the desired type.
To edit an ID3
tag, first select the type,
ID3v1 or ID3v2. Then, change the information in the
text boxes.
When finished, click Save ID3 Tag
to save the information.
Information in the left
side text boxes can be entered for both types. Information in the right side text boxes is only for ID3v2 tags and will only be enabled if that type is selected.
Note: When ID3v1
is selected, the maximum
number of characters allowed in each box is 30.
